I would love to use muscovado sugar next time. Raw sugar and less refined sugars give a healthy touch to the recipe.Namita https://www.blogger.com/profile/10796407634931420206noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4420420054076431755.post-21411486511203497062014-06-06T08:08:15.358+05:302014-06-06T08:08:15.358+05:30yumm... yumm.. yummy.. yumm... yumm.. yummy.. nandoos kitchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14461000331712077549noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4420420054076431755.post-31984203823298449402014-06-06T05:55:26.824+05:302014-06-06T05:55:26.824+05:30It is hard to get my head around it being hot anyw...It is hard to get my head around it being hot anywhere while I am assured it is only just above 5C outside. Walking Earl this morning all swaddled up I could seriously appreciate that it was only 2C at the time! I love this recipe. I have seen more than my fair share of vegan ice cream recipes but this one is distinctly different and very interesting. I love that cooking the ingredients together thickens it into a sort of thicker vegan custard. That sugar is interesting. I have never seen or heard of mineral sugar before. I recently bought some red sugar (still can't find out what it actually is!) from an Asian grocery store in the city but haven't ever seen mineral sugar. It looks most intreguing. Hopefully this recipe doesn't rely on that mineral sugar to thicken it as otherwise my vegan icecream that I am planning to make this weekend (after another trip to the city) is going to be a flop! Thank you for such an interesting and informative share Namita. I hope you don't mind me pinning the recipe for more vegans and like minded people to find? Lovely! And the ice cream, oh my! I had no clue you could make ice cream with coconut milk! I have not heard of mineral sugar though... wonder if I get it easily in any super market. Will check it out. Thanks for the recipe!Nandita Paihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09370686572057881240noreply@blogger.com
